Second Class, Same Energy… Maybe Even Better 🐔✨

Let me tell you… this second chicken processing class? Whew. It did exactly what it was supposed to do—and then some.

Not only was it a success… it was FULLY interactive in a way that just made my heart smile.

Watching It Come Full Circle

One of my favorite parts?

The students from the first class came back and got hands-on, like really hands-on. They weren’t just watching this time… they were processing the chickens themselves.

And baby… they showed OUT.

Under Jordan’s supervision, they stepped right into what they learned and owned it. Confidence was up. Movements were smoother. Questions turned into teaching moments. You could literally see the growth happening in real time.

That’s what this is about for us.
Not just teaching… but building people up enough to do it on their own.

Yes… The Rooster Cat Made His Exit 🫠

Now listen… we gotta talk about it.

The infamous Rooster Cat…
Yeah. He was part of this class.

And let me just say… while his early morning “strangling cat at 6am” concerts will not be missed…

There was still a level of respect in the process.

Because that’s what we teach here
Everything has a purpose. Everything is handled with care.

But also…

The homestead being quiet-ish again?
I’m not mad at it. Not even a little bit. 😂

Community, Connection… and Good Food

This class wasn’t just about chickens.

It was about community.

The conversations, the laughter, the “you got this” moments… the way everybody just fell into rhythm together, it felt like family out there.

And speaking of family…

We introduced the class to Queenies Bakery 💛

They pulled up with baked goods that didn’t stand a chance, okay? Everything was so good. But more than that, they stayed, they connected, they became part of the experience.

That’s the kind of energy we love—
Not just showing up… but being present.

This Is Why We Do It

Classes like this remind me why we opened up the homestead in the first place.

It’s bigger than food.
Bigger than skills.

It’s about:
