Chicken Processing Class

April 11 | 11:00 AM | Donation-Based | Limited Spots

On April 11th at 11:00 AM, we’re hosting another hands-on Chicken Processing Class here at 1737 Urban Homestead.

This class is for those who want to understand their food, not just cook it.

We will walk through the humane, respectful, and practical process of harvesting meat birds from start to finish. This is real homestead education. No fluff. Just knowledge, skill, and stewardship.

You will learn:
• Humane dispatch methods
• Proper processing techniques
• Sanitation and safety
• Breaking down a whole bird
• Answering the “why” behind what we do

This class is donation-based because we believe education should be accessible. However, spots are limited to keep the experience personal and hands-on.

If you’ve ever said, “I want to know where my food comes from,” this is your moment.

Come ready to learn. Come ready to grow.

Cultivating community… Harvesting home.
