Y’all! We finally pulled some fish from our aquaponics system and it was a blast! After months of nurturing and watching those waters, we harvested three beautiful catfish fresh, homegrown, and full of flavor.
We fried up two of them whole, just the way we like it crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The third one we filleted, seasoned it just right, and served it alongside a big ol’ helping of potato salad. And let me tell you… it didn’t last long!
This is what homesteading is all about. It involves raising your own food, celebrating the harvest, and sharing good meals with people you love. We’re so proud of how the aquaponics system is doing, and this was a major win!
