Hey y’all!
Can you believe it’s already March? I feel like we just packed away the Christmas lights, and now Mother Nature is out here waking everything up like, “Let’s get to it!” The days are getting longer, the air smells just a little sweeter, and my hands are already itching to get back in the dirt. You know what time it is—spring garden time!
Now I gotta ask: Have you started your 2025 spring garden yet?
No judgment if you haven’t—we’re all moving at our own pace around here. But if you’re anything like us, you’ve been eyeing seed packets like they’re candy. You’re planning where everything’s gonna go. Even if that means drawing it all out on the back of a napkin while drinking your tea (yes, guilty).
Here at 1737, we’ve been busy prepping beds, turning compost, and whispering sweet nothings to our seedlings like, “Come on baby, grow strong for mama.” The garlic we planted in the fall is peeking through, and I’m already dreaming about juicy tomatoes, fresh basil, and all the okra I can pickle.
If you haven’t started yet, it’s not too late! Grab a pot, dig up a corner of your yard, or throw some seeds in a grow bag, just start somewhere. Whether you’ve got acres or a windowsill, there’s magic in growing your own food. Trust me, nothing tastes better than something you grew with your own two hands.
And if you need a little inspiration or just want to chat garden talk, you know where to find us. Slide in our inbox, drop by our stand, or just wave from your porch we love hearing about what y’all are growing.
Let this be your friendly nudge (with love, of course): Get that garden going!
With dirt under my nails and sunshine in my heart,
🌼 Shawana & Jordan
